The Hawkeye State

Iowa was good to us. Tons better than I expected it to be.  There are so many things I am going to miss...

Our neighbor's huge truck. Don't ask me how they scraped the windows in winter, let alone got inside their car.  But, I could tell you exactly what time they left in the morning and what time they got home after work :) You could hear them coming from a mile away.
Iowa storms.  Pictures don't do it justice.  Iowa has some great storms that are fun and exciting to watch, until you hear the tornado siren and have to sit in the closet.
Lunches with Dad.  We spent many Friday afternoons, especially that first year, at DMU eating lunch with dad.  That was just about the only time we got to see him.
But most of all, we are going to miss our friends!

When we moved to Iowa, I cried... a lot!  Little did I know at that point that I would cry even more when I left Iowa to move back west.  We had the best support group ever! I learned so much from everyone there. They kept me busy when Devin was studying.  It was great because all of their husbands were studying too.  I was in the Primary most of the time we were in Iowa.  Each of their kids are amazing also!  Its because they have such great parents.  I wish that we could all live in the same neighborhood throughout our lives.
