Easter

The girls on Easter morning...
Brielle takes a bit longer to wake up than Mckenna does :)
Easter baskets

Little Brielle still had her sunburn from skiing

Grandma Collins made their dresses and gave them to the girls for Christmas. I decided to count those as Easter dresses so I didn't have to make any :)

After church, the girls found some eggs around the house.

Mckenna really had fun this year

We went to the community Easter egg hunt on Saturday.  We left our camera in the car :(.  And I really wished that I had it to video tape what happened.  Brielle was too young, so she just got a small pre-made basket.  Mckenna was in the 4-5 age group.  Their were a lot of kids.  Once they blew the whistle to get the eggs, Mckenna started running, but immediately turned around running back to us. She wanted us to go with her, but adults couldn't go in. So we kept telling her to go get some eggs, and she kept refusing. Finally, she went out and got a few close ones. Later, she was sad she didn't get very many eggs. Maybe next year she won't be so scared! :)

Swingset

Devin and I had an Easter surprise for the girls...
We spent the night putting our new swingset together. The girls had so much fun playing in the box that they didn't even guess what we were putting together.
Mckenna was singing:
 "Row, row, row the boat
gently down the street (I didn't know she didn't know the words, it was cute)
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
Life is but a dream"

We finally finished putting it up at like 9:30 that night. So Easter morning, we took the girls outside to see it all put together.
It was a little bright, but boy, were they excited!

Brielle had a wild ride down the slide.
She actually hasn't gone on it again by herself. She wants us to help her.
They love it!  They always want to go outside and play. Mckenna likes to give her stuffed animals rides down the slide and on the swing.  It's a hit!

Skiing

Brielle is always making us laugh :)
We took a Saturday and went skiing.  It was Mckenna and Brielle's first time.  Devin and I took turns going down the hill while the other helped teach Mckenna how to ski. She did really well. She had fun. Devin even put Brielle in the skis. She liked having the boots on, but did not like it when Devin put her in the skis.

It was the end of March when we went skiing, and I didn't even think about bringing sunscreen...
Poor Brielle got burned pretty bad. It didn't seem to bother her though.
Mckenna likes to play with Brielle's hair during bath time.  She calls this hair-do "the Spaceship"

Sick-o!

Devin and Mckenna have caught a sickness! Devin didn't ever throw up but he didn't have much of an appetite for a few days.  Mckenna on the other hand, threw up like crazy.  Poor girl has spent 2 whole days laying on the couch.  She sure has her fair share of sickness lately!
Brielle thought she would create the best seat in the house. :)
As a side note, I finished my ABC wall!  I love it!  These girls love reading books!

Pushing Spring

We can't wait for Spring! I have had spring decorations up since the beginning of March. The weather likes to tease us sometimes too. But when it does, we take advantage and go to the park!

Brielle thought she was pretty cool on the big kid swing. Both girls have always LOVED swinging.

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom celebrated a BIG birthday this year :).  A few of my siblings and I were able to go to Idaho Falls and surprise her for her birthday.  On the way there, we visited Grandma Great (my great grandma, Mckenna and Brielle's great great grandma). When I was younger, we used to call her "the grandma that gives us popsicles" because that's how we remembered her. And this visit did not disappoint, we each got a popsicle to eat.

Happy Birthday, Dr Seuss!

We celebrated Dr Seuss' birthday (March 2) for about a week! We did different activities every day. It was a lot of fun. I love spending a few days just relaxing and reading books to my littles :)
Cat in the Hat sandwich. These were such a hit that we ate them a few days in a row.

We made Truffula Trees after reading The Lorax

We drank a Pink Ink Drink like a Yink
while trying to wink

This was Brielle's version of a wink :)

We ate green eggs and ham
We graphed some goldfish

and those were just the things that I remembered to get a picture of! Happy Birthday Dr Seuss!
