Photo Shoot

Ok, so I'm definitely not a whiz at the camera... like at all. But it's fun to get pictures of the girls. I realized I hadn't taken good pictures of them for a while. In these pictures, Brielle is a little over 2.

This is her favorite "doggy" and she sleeps with it every night. She likes to play with it's fur with her pinky while she sucks her thumb. A few times, her pinky has even gotten stuck in the fur.

Mckenna has never been a poser for the camera, so it's hard to get good pictures of her. But, once she got the sucker, she was a little better. Mckenna is almost 5.

Sure love these girls!!!

Preschool

Mckenna had her first day of preschool in September... for the 3rd and last time haha.  

Last year, she went to this same preschool twice a week and this year she will go three times a week. She sure enjoys it. It has really helped her not be so shy. This is a picture from last year, I can't seem to find the picture of her first day of preschool last year, so this will have to do.

And this was her first year of preschool when we lived in Iowa.  A few moms and I got together and rotated having preschool at our houses. It was so great! Mckenna has many memories from her friends there.

Next year she will go to kindergarten, which will be all day long. I'm not very excited about it, that's a long time!

Boys Weekend

In September, a few of my siblings and my parents met at our house. We had planned a girls/boys weekend. The boys went hiking and backpacking for 3 days and came home tired. The girls stayed at our house with 6 kids under the age of 4. By the end, we were just as tired as the boys. Don't worry, a true girls weekend without the kids is in the works! We definitely had a lot of fun and made lots of memories.  I'm so glad my girls have cousins so close and that we get to see them often.

Haircuts

The girls both needed haircuts. Thanks to YouTube, I successfully cut their hair. I'm all about saving some money and I figure it can't be too hard! 

They both did great. Brielle has always woken up with bedhead. But with her hair a little shorter, the hair monster really gets her! This is how her hair looks pretty much every morning. She doesn't seem to mind.

August

Brielle is such a cuddle bug! She sticks that thumb in her mouth and will cuddle away! She loves Mckenna.

These two are the best of friends. They do everything together.

We had fun reading books all summer and got tickets from the summer reading program at the library. Mckenna and Brielle spent their hard earned tickets on some slime.

We also stood in line forever to get face paintings. Mckenna got a rainbow on her cheek and Brielle got a heart on her hand. She make sure I got a picture of it too :)

Miner's Jubilee

Baker has a few small celebrations during the summer. One of them is Miner's Jubilee. Mckenna was in the parade on a Preschool float. She sat in the very front and waved her little heart out.

She was excited that they could bring spray bottles and squirt each other.

In July, Devin and Deanna stayed with us for a week and a half while they closed on their house in Fruitland. It was so nice to have them over. Mckenna and Brielle love their girls, Alayna and Elyse. We went on lots of bike rides and spent a few days in swimming suits.

4th of July

For the 4th of July, we got to see Eric and Megan, and their kids Kaylee and Colton.  Eric is graduating from Texas Tech and they are moving to Maryland. So we were glad to see them one last time before their move.

4th of July is Devin's birthday. I decided to make a Snickers Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cake. It was pretty rich!

And of course, we had to put 29 candles on top.

It was so hard to get a good cousin picture! 8 cousins, 7 of them being age 2 and under!
