Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom celebrated a BIG birthday this year :).  A few of my siblings and I were able to go to Idaho Falls and surprise her for her birthday.  On the way there, we visited Grandma Great (my great grandma, Mckenna and Brielle's great great grandma). When I was younger, we used to call her "the grandma that gives us popsicles" because that's how we remembered her. And this visit did not disappoint, we each got a popsicle to eat.

Happy Birthday, Dr Seuss!

We celebrated Dr Seuss' birthday (March 2) for about a week! We did different activities every day. It was a lot of fun. I love spending a few days just relaxing and reading books to my littles :)
Cat in the Hat sandwich. These were such a hit that we ate them a few days in a row.

We made Truffula Trees after reading The Lorax

We drank a Pink Ink Drink like a Yink
while trying to wink

This was Brielle's version of a wink :)

We ate green eggs and ham
We graphed some goldfish

and those were just the things that I remembered to get a picture of! Happy Birthday Dr Seuss!

Haircut

In February, Mckenna got a haircut. I think this was her 3rd haircut.  Her hair was so snarly and the ends were pretty thin. So, with the help of a youtube video, I cut her hair :).  (You would think now that we aren't in school anymore, I would break down and pay to cut her hair. But I just couldn't quite do it. Why pay for it when I can follow a tutorial from youtube?)
...Before...
...and After...
It curls up a lot better now that it is short. She still gets lots of knots in her hair, but that's just because it's curly.

The other day, I was in the shower and Mckenna came in saying Brielle had bonked her head. She then told me that she would kiss it better for Brielle and give her a band-aid.  I came out of the shower to find this...
Not sure if it hurt worse to bonk her head or to pull the band-aid off of her hair.  There's never a dull moment in our house! :)

We're Back!

We are back into the blogging world, once again! :)  Their are like 10 new posts below. Including: Christmas, Mckenna's 4th birthday, new house, and Halloween (yikes, I got really behind this time) :)  Better late than never!

Crazy Cousins

Grandma Collins made these cute skirts for the girls this year. Do you know how hard it is to get all 3 girls smiling and looking at the camera? We got a few not-so-successful shots. :)

and a little break for a hug.
Then Levi thought he would join in.

Have I mentioned how much I love living closer to family?

Snow

Playing in the snow with Aunt T
This girl is a master at snow angels. She practices every chance she gets.

Brielle isn't so sure of the snow. She prefers to just watch.

Love those chubby cheeks. She seemed to lose them for a few months, but they are making a reappearance!! I'm so glad!

Christmas

We went to Idaho Falls for Christmas this year. It was so fun to see Mckenna and Brielle play with their cousins. Mckenna's princess drinks were a hit! They were one of her main requests for Christmas.

Levi made sure we all knew where his priorities were, breakfast first, then presents!

Brielle and Kaylee sat on Eric's lap watching the train go round and round and round.
Kaylee and Brielle in their matching doll strollers. I'm glad the strollers were such a hit!
This year, I made homemade chocolate cherry cordials for my dad and Devin's dad. They were a lot of work, but were a favorite.

Mckenna was really into Santa this year. We even had a little elf named Twinkle visit us to make sure we were being like Jesus. It was fun. We are so blessed!
