Conference

These are super late, but that's how I roll :).  Here are pictures from Conference.

Mckenna kept pretty busy coloring The Friend...

Mckenna's first picture she drew of herself. All pink with a purple bow and blue hair. She was so proud. And so was I

Brielle reaching for her food. If there is food nearby, this girl will try her hardest to get it.

Poor Devin works so hard! He has been going his rotation from 8-5, then he goes straight to the school to work on his Master's paper and presentation.  Me and the girls would bring dinner to him every night so we would get to see him.  He usually wouldn't come home until somewhere between 11 and 1am.  He is surviving off of Mountain Dew and sunflower seeds. But, the second he studies on our couch, he is asleep. He is working so hard!! But, he is almost done! His graduation is this Saturday, but he isn't officially done until June 5. And even then, he isn't really done until he takes his test, the PANCE (which he is taking June 25).  He has been going to school year round since January of 2007. He is such a hard worker. I know I wouldn't be able to do what he has done.

He has been gone in Milwaukee all week long for a PANCE review course. This weekend he flew straight from Milwaukee into Baker City, Oregon for a site visit (he had an skype interview with a practice a few weeks ago and they offered us a job! Devin wanted to go there and check it out) and he gets home tonight! I can't wait! He has been gone for 8 long days.  We haven't even been able to talk much because he has been so busy. It will be so nice to have him back!

Just Keep Swimming

Mckenna had her first swimming lesson! She wasn't so sure about it at first... and even by the last lesson still wasn't so sure  :)

She did pretty well though.

and she would do anything if her little friend Addy is doing it :) So that made it worth it

Round 2 of Visitors! :) (Part 2)

We took everyone to the Sculpture Gardens in downtown Des Moines. Kinda fun, but no real reason to go twice :) haha

We also went to the Blank Park Zoo again.

Mckenna's favorite part is feeding the goats and the llama (She loves the children's book "Llama, Llama Red Pajama". If you haven't read it, you should check it out)

Alayna loved out little ride on bike thing.  Devin would run while pushing her.  She was grinning ear to ear the whole time.

Mckenna couldn't go quite as fast as Uncle Devin.

Brielle's huge cheeks are slowly disappearing :(.  I guess she's crawling around too much. This is one last good picture of them

I'm not sure why this picture loaded up so weird. But oh well.

Out of the shoot :) (a little game my dad used to play with us. Uncle Devin did not disappoint)

It was so fun to get to see family again!  We felt so spoiled to have so much family come and see us. It just made us realize even more how much we have missed everyone and how much we want to go back west so we will live by family again.  (I'll update more on this later, but if anyone knows of any Physician Assistant jobs back west, let us know!)

Round 2 of Visitors! :) (Part 1)

Devin (my brother; a twin to Eric, the brother that visited a week earlier), Deanna (my sister-in-law), and Alayna (my niece) visited the end of March. They drove straight for like 24 hours to get here! Thank goodness they got to fly home.

The girls weren't so sure about the Easter bunny. Mckenna only sat on his lap cuz she would get a coloring book out of the deal.

It was more fun watching the proud Grandma than the train :)
